My artistic practice roots from personal and political questions about how to relate to the environment in which your body navigates. In my work I thereby collaborate with the intertwined relationships within a landscape, creating a practice in which the body works jointly with the entangled life and rhythms, inside and outside the environment it encounters. Guided by historical and cultural stories, I find myself on a continuous search to explore the balance or imbalance within these landscapes.

By using natural, local materials—grown or collected—; human cultural and community based craftsmanship; the interaction with community through food; my experiences learning to become a wind miller; and research into the local, anthropological, and deeptime histories of the land, I capture interactions from various perspectives. From a collaborative and experimental approach, I shape these human and nonhuman interactions into performance and installation evolving a dialogue between body, place, and time.

Together in balance we learn to collectively shape matters.
